C O U R S E - L I S T I N G

Gnomon provides two options for digital training which address the needs of both beginning and advanced level digital artists. Our general digital program consists of both long and short format classes. The long-format classes are ideal for those who are interested in learning or refining their skills and do not have access to the hardware and software. Classes run ten weeks in length with 3 hours of instruction and 9 hours of labtime per week. Additional labtime is available, for free, on a first-come, first-served basis. Homework is assigned with an emphasis on personal projects, realism, complexity and research.

Short-format courses are designed for working professionals who have access to the software and, therefore, do not need the lab/rendering time offered in the long format classes. Gnomon is an authorized Alias Academic Training Partner. All digital classes are fully hands-on. Numerous 3D software packages exist and while it is important to understand the relationship between them, it is more important to have an in-depth understanding of the concepts and technology of 3D, rather than surface knowledge of multiple 3D applications. Classes are open to the public and do not require a portfolio review for admission. The Certificate Program is an exception.

Digital courses are denoted by the symbol.
